The Indian School of Business (ISB) — campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali — on Tuesday announced an interim progress update on the ongoing placements for the Class of 2019 of the flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP).
Week 1 of the integrated-placements process concluded last week. The school saw an increase of 29 per cent in the number of recruiters who participated in the process this year.
“The ISB is the preferred partner for several companies. In some cases, the ISB is the only campus where companies visit for placements in India," said Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB.
Companies such as Amazon, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Flipkart, Google, HDFC Bank, LEK Consulting, McKinsey, Microsoft,
Oyo Rooms, Reliance Industries, Rivigo, Samsung, Uber have reported their largest single-campus hiring from the ISB this season, according to a press release.
Top international recruiters include Apple, E&Y, GrabTaxi, Li and Fung for locations in the Middle East, Hong Kong, North Africa and Singapore.
The institute continues to attract government and quasi-government bodies. Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion (InvestPunjab), Government of Punjab, visited the campus for the first time to hire students. Of the total offers made, 35 per cent were for women candidates.
