"The FIR 601/84 has been reopened and that names Kamal Nath", said Sirsa, adding Congress party led by Sonia Gandhi should dismiss Nath from chief ministership.  “If the Congress does not sack him, it will show their anti-Sikh face,” he said.

The SIT has opened six more such cases through a notification.

Sirsa cited the affidavit of journalist Sanjay Suri, who told Justice Nanavati Commission that a mob near Rakab Ganj was asking Nath for directions at the peak of the anti-Sikh riots in 1984.  He also cited an affidavit submitted by Mukhtiar Singh that spoke about how mobs killed two Sikhs, and how gunshots were heard at Rakab Ganj Sahib.

Sirsa said both Suri and Mukhtiar had agreed to depose before the SIT, and that they should be provided security.
