Gaushala delegation meets ministers

Chandigarh: A delegation of Punjab Gaushala Mahasangh, a group representing 472 gaushalas in the state, met Power Minister GS Kangar and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu and handed over a memorandum of their demands, including waiver of power bills and government aid to run financially hit cow pounds.



Chandigarh: A delegation of Punjab Gaushala Mahasangh, a group representing 472 gaushalas in the state, met Power Minister GS Kangar and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu and handed over a memorandum of their demands, including waiver of power bills and government aid to run financially hit cow pounds. Swami Krishna Nand of All India Gau Sewa Mission informed that all cow shelters were packed to capacity and sustaining barely on donation. The ministers gave a patient and positive hearing to the delegation. Kangar assured them of asking Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to accord in-principle approval for free power to gaushalas. Ashu said the demands would be favourably routed to the departments concerned. TNS
