A delegation of the SAD-BJP on Tuesday met Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore and apprised him of the political developments in the state.
The leaders also apprised him of the UT’s move of changing the selection criteria for 418 posts of JBT teachers by removing Punjabi qualification as a condition. Former minister Daljit Singh Cheema said as per new rules, candidates were required to have the knowledge of only English and Hindi even as they had to teach Punjabi too. They also demanded that all employees be recruited in the 60:40 ratio between Punjab and Haryana. — TNS
