In a major action against smuggling of drugs and psychotropic substances, the Patiala police have got a major breakthrough when a team of the Rajpura police have busted an inter-state drugs module with the arrest of two persons and recovered 1.05 lakh prohibited tablets.

Patiala SSP Varun Sharma said that, “on February 7, a police team stopped a bus and two suspicious persons, who were carrying brown bags, tried to run from the rear door. However, the police promptly nabbed them and seized banned lomotil tablets from them”, said the SSP.

The two accused were identified as Kulwinder Singh Kindi and Palwinder Singh Billa, both residents of Doraha.
