CLDAV Senior Public School, Panchkula

The school observed Hiroshima Day to remind students about the dangers of nuclear warfare and to draw lessons from the horrific past for a peaceful future. Students of classes VII and VIII presented a poetic recitation of the entire sequence of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki nuclear attack and the unimaginable wrath faced by the innocent population. The pupils also spread the message through the display of various slogans, banners and placards such as 'No War', 'Ban Nuclear Weapons' and 'Human Race cannot co-exist with Nuclear Weapons' and 'Brotherhood'. Meanwhile, students of classes IV to VIII enthusiastically shared Friendship Day messages on social media. They made collages with pictures along with their friends.

Tagore Global School, Kurukshetra

The school conducted a writing competition to mark the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The topics and theme were given by the CBSE from the life and times of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The students could choose any writing form (paragraph/essay/poem) that was to be submitted in English or Hindi. The pupils participated enthusiastically and presented unique and creative pieces of writing. The idea behind the contest was to uphold the value of righteousness and truth.

AKSIPS-45 Smart School, Chandigarh

With the aim of providing an opportunity for the tiny tots of KG to develop effective communication skills and to build their confidence, a 'Show and Tell' competition was organised. During the virtual show, kids took center stage and spoke about different types of insects, birds and amphibians. They learnt how to gather and organise information. They spoke with confidence. 

Mount Carmel School, Mohali

The school held an English story telling competition for the students of classes VI to IX. All the students participated enthusiastically and showcased their talent. The competition was conducted on an online platform. The participants engaged the attention of the judges as they expressed their creativity and language skills through story telling.

The school has added another feather to its cap by launching its own News Channel - OPS Virtual Voyage. This news channel will not only make everyone aware about the different activities of the school but also provide an opportunity to the students to flourish in the field of Mass Communication by giving them the righteous platform to showcase their skills and polish their personality.
