A webinar on ‘tapping happiness quotient’ was organised for parents of classes IX and X. Dr Shivam Gupta, psychiatrist, guided the parents on how to help their children remain positive and happy even in the most trying situations. Dr Gupta touched various issues such as stress, peer pressure and high expectations to make parents understand their children better and facilitate them to lead a disciplined and stress-free life. Gupta urged the parents not to over pressurise their children, discuss their problems, help them develop healthy study habits, take up relaxation techniques and handle teen aggression calmly by becoming role models for them. Principal Uma Sharma, while thanking the speaker for his valuable inputs, also encouraged the parents to spend quality time with their kids by communicating with them and playing a more active role in the healthy monitoring of their kids through online learning.
