CHANDIGARH, June 10 – The results of the elections to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha will be out on June 14 after 4.30 p.m. Display Boards have been put up at the State Election Office in Sector 17 here. The counting will start all over Punjab at 8 a.m. that day.
At Delhi and Jullundur, the results will be released simultaneously at the Punjab Relations Offices of the Punjab Government.

Mr M.M. Chaudhury, Governor of Punjab, said today people would be helped to exercise their franchise in a fearless and peaceful manner. There would be effective and impartial control of the election procedure. Necessary administrative arrangement had been made and official machinery geared up the district level.
Voters would be provided with adequate shelter and drinking water at the polling booths.
The Governor said that use of liquor would be prohibited and carrying of fire-arms was being banned. He appealed to people to ensure an orderly poll.
