Amritsar, March 5

To probe the controversy over the administration of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Hari Nagar, New Delhi, Akal Takht has decided to constitute a committee which will submit its report within four months.

DSGMC president Majinder Singh Sirsa and former DSGMC heads Manjit Singh GK, Avtar Singh Hit and Paramjit Singh Sarna reached the Akal Takht secretariat today. They submitted the documents related to the school and apprised Takht of their views.

Hit said he had withdrawn the case, claiming ownership rights of the school, filed in a Delhi court. He said he had handed over all rights to the DSGMC.

Manjit Singh GK alleged that Hit had filed the case on the basis of a forged letter. He said the school was under the DSGMC control and those who had tried to usurp it must be punished.

“I have apprised Akal Takht officiating Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh that the signatures on the letter were forged,” he said.

Without giving details, Sirsa said the school would be governed by the DSGMC and the issue would be resolved after the committee submits its report.

“I am bound by the directions of Akal Takht not to indulge in mudslinging till the committee gives its observation report after four months. The court case has been withdrawn unconditionally and the school’s control has come back to the DSGMC," he said.
