Chandigarh, February 19
A groom in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba stopped his wedding procession and reached an exam centre to appear for the Uttar Pradesh Police Reserve Recruitment examination.
The groom came to appear for the police exam dressed in his wedding attire with a turban on his head and henna on his hands. He arrived with his baraat.
Everyone who saw him kept staring at him.
According to reports by the All India Radio News, police personnel deployed at the examination centre also welcomed the groom.
He said that for him, career took precedence over marriage.
After taking the examination, the groom left the centre with the wedding procession. The police sent him off with blessings for a happy marriage and bright future.

The incident sparked a wave of contrasting opinions across social media platforms. While some lauded the groom’s commitment to his academic pursuits, others criticised it, calling it a ‘show off’ as he could have easily changed his attire before the examination.
