Tarn Taran, November 16
Members of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the CPM staged a protest against the Central as well as the state governments over their “failure” to live up to the expectations of the people here at Gandhi Municipal Park on Friday.
Bant Singh Brar of the CPI and Lehambar Singh Taggar of the CPM led the protest. They addressing the party workers and tore into the governments over their policies. “The Central government is busy safeguarding the interests of corporate families. It has nothing to do with common men. The RSS has been playing the key role in the administration, thus spreading communalism,” they said.
They accused the Congress government in state of having failed to fulfill the promises it made before the Assembly polls.
