AMRITSAR: The Civil Rights Protection Organisation observed the 127th birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in ward number 68 here on Sunday.



Amritsar, April 15

The Civil Rights Protection Organisation observed the 127th birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in ward number 68 here on Sunday. A tree plantation drive was conducted on the occasion. The organisation distributed saplings among children of the locality as a part of the drive.

Advocate Vishav Luthra, president of the organisation, said, “Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar made serious efforts to protect the rights of women and children. We remember his contribution on this day.” The speakers threw light on various aspects of Dr Ambedkar’s life. — TNS
