Bathinda, March 26

Lala Jagan Nath Jain Goodwill Public High School organised its annual prize distribution ceremony at Parasram Nagar here today.

The chief guest on the occasion was Durga Prasad Bansal while the guest of honour was Sukhdarshan Kumar Garg. The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp following which students recited Saraswati vandana.

Society president PK Bansal and working president Manohar Lal Garg welcomed the guests and school principal Shimla Singla presented the annual report.

The students also presented cultural items, which received appreciation from the audience. They presented a choreography item, which attacked the practice of superstition and self-styled godmen.

The students also gave folk dance and bhangra performances. In the end of the annual function, the students who excelled in academic, sports and extra-curricular activities during the last academic session were also honoured.
