Bathinda: A person was killed while two injured in two road mishaps in the district in the past 24 hours. In the first incident, a person was killed after a car hit two persons who were walking by the roadside at Rampura village. The deceased has been identified as Raju. In a complaint lodged by Rakesh Singh, a resident of Maghar Singhwala village, it has been stated that the car hit him and his niece Raju as they were walking. It led to the death of his niece, he said. The police have registered a case under Sections 304-A, 279, 337 and 338 of the IPC against unidentified driver of the car at the Rampura (City) police station. Malout: An unidentified vehicle on Wednesday crushed a man to death near Radhasoami Satsang Ghar on the Delhi highway. The deceased is yet to be identified. The police said the deceased was walking on the road when the incident happened. The body has been kept in a mortuary for 72 hours for identification. In another accident, a car and tractor collided near Adarsh School at Bhagu village. The occupants of both vehicles sustained minor injuries. In another such incident, two motorcycles collided between Malout and Aulakh on Wednesday, causing injuries to three people, including two children. TNS
