4 open fire at owner of jewellery showroom

Chandigarh, December 4

High drama was witnessed when four assailants riding a Brezza vehicle arrived outside a jewellery showroom, GH Ornaments, at the NAC, Mani Majra, tonight and opened fire at the showroom owner.

Police sources said they received information around 8.15 pm from the owner, Hanumant, who said the miscreants arrived in a Brezza, bearing a Delhi registration number, quarrelled with him and then opened fire on him. 

Hanumant was standing outside the showroom on the first floor when the miscreants arrived.  The sources said the assailants quarrelled with the victim. They then opened fire at him. One round was fired by them after which they escaped from the spot.

The victim, who escaped unhurt, said the miscreants appeared to be in their mid-twenties. He managed to note down a part of the registration number of the car. Police teams rushed to the spot. The sources said the motive behind the attack was yet to be established. A case has been registered at the Mani Majra police station. — TNS

Caught on CCTV 

A CCTV camera was installed outside the showroom in which four persons are seen arriving around 7.45 pm with three of them holding pistols. One of them opened fire at the victim. One of the suspects was also carrying a bag supposedly to loot jewellery from the showroom.
