Boy stalks woman in Panchkula, booked

PANCHKULA: The Panchkula police have booked an unidentified teenaged boy for stalking a 22-year-old woman.

The Panchkula police have booked an unidentified teenaged boy for stalking a 22-year-old woman.

In her complaint, Simran Khattar, a BTech student and a resident of Sector 21, stated that she returned home on her scooty around 1.40 pm and while she was going inside she saw a boy, who was on a scooty, stopping near the gate. She said the boy, about 15 years of age, made obscene gestures and sped away.

The complainant said on May 3 also, the boy had made obscene gestures at her. She said she could not note down the registration number of his scooty but recognises him.

A case has been registered against the boy under Sections 354D and 509 of the IPC at the Sector 5 police station. — TNS
