Seeking the arrest of the third accused, kin of Israan today blocked a road at the Agarsain Chowk in Naraingarh for nearly an hour this evening. Israan (25), a resident of Vasalpur village, died due to multiple bullet injuries in Naraingarh here late on Friday evening.

Two youths, Charanjeet Singh and Iqbal Singh, were arrested last night, while the third accused, Harnaik, managed to flee.

The kin demanded early arrest of Harnaik Singh, son of Naraingarh-based politician Ram Singh.

After getting information, Deputy Superintendent of Police Amit Bhatia and other police officials reached the spot and managed to persuade the agitating family. The family was assured that the suspect would be arrested soon.

Three persons had allegedly reached a jungle near Vasalpur village of Naraingarh for hunting boar. Israan, along with two others, was passing from there. Assuming Israan to be an animal, they opened fire at him in which he got injured. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Israan is survived by his wife and two minor children.

Two suspects, who were arrested yesterday, will be produced before a court on Sunday where the police will seek their remand.

Besides bullet injuries, bullet pallet injuries were also found on the body of the deceased during the post-mortem examination.

Amit Bhatia, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Naraingarh, said: “The Shahzadpur SHO is investigating the case. Teams have been constituted to nab the third accused. The CIA, Naraingarh, and the cyber cell have also been included in the case. The two youths confessed to have committed to the crime.”

A case has been registered under Sections 302, 307 and 120B of the IPC and the Arms Act at the Naraingarh police station.
