The third day of the seven days national workshop on “Qualitative research methods in social sciences” with focus on the theme “Equity and social”, organised by CALEM (Centre for Academic Leadership and Education Management), Department of Education, Panjab University, today held deliberations on gender issues and complexity in studying attitudes and perspectives in qualitative research.
In the first session, the PUTA (Panjab University Teachers Association) president, Prof Rajesh Gill, from Department of Sociology, Panjab University, dwelled on unfolding social realities in context of gender through her experiences.
She deliberated on how women were invisible in the present research space and challenges that a social scientist encountered while trying to unfold their life realties.
In her first session, Dr Latika Gupta illustrated on the methodological complexities in studying attitudes and perspectives.
In the second session hermeneutic analysis was explicated where participants had an opportunity for hands-on activities.
