Villager booked for abetment to suicide

PATIALA: The police have booked a person for abetment to suicide after a 21-year-old woman consumed poison.

The police have booked a person for abetment to suicide after a 21-year-old woman consumed poison.

The suspect has been identified as Vishal Singh, a resident of Mando Majra village.

According to the police, the victim, allegedly, consumed poison after Vishal started blackmailing her over an illicit relationship with him. According to the police, the victim consumed poison on Saturday. On Sunday morning, the victim started vomiting and her health deteriorated.

The victim was rushed to Government Rajindra Hospital from where she was referred to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh. The victim died on her way to the GMCH-32.

According to a statement of the victim, Vishal had an illicit relation with her for the last one year. The police informed that they have registered a case against Vishal.
