Biodiversity day celebrated

DEHRADUN:The International Day for Biodiversity was celebrated at the Forest Research Institute (FRI), here today with an aim to spread awareness on biodiversity and the importance of preserving it for future generations.

The International Day for Biodiversity was celebrated at the Forest Research Institute (FRI), here today with an aim to spread awareness on biodiversity and the importance of preserving it for future generations.  

 Dr Savita, Director, FRI, inaugurated the exhibition. Dr AK Pandey, head, extension division, scientists, research staff and students were present on the occasion. The main attraction of exhibition was the posters exhibited by various research divisions showing their achievements and contributions to sustainable utilisation of biodiversity. — TNS
