CM: Postgraduate youths to get 100-hr work every month

YAMUNANAGAR: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said his government would provide minimum 100 hours of work to youths with postgraduate degrees on the pattern of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) every month from November 1.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said his government would provide minimum 100 hours of work to youths with postgraduate degrees on the pattern of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) every month from November 1. “The state has witnessed development in two years of the BJP government. Besides, the government has been successful to curb corruption,” he said at a public meeting in Chhachhrauli today.

Haryana Assembly Speaker Kanwar Pal Gurjar organised the meeting.

“Now, the government will focus on employment generation for the youth in the golden jubilee year of the state. We will provide 100 hours of work to postgraduate youths of the state every month. They will be paid Rs9,000 per month,” said the CM. Chief Minister opened the state’s coffer for the district, announcing nine projects for Rs111 crore.

He laid the foundation stones of several projects, including that of Industrial Training Institute, Chhachhrauli; construction of a road along the Dadupur-Nalvi canal from Kail village to Chhachhrauli-Paonta Sahib national highway, widening of the Jagadhri-Bilaspur road, construction of a road along the Western Yamuna Canal, four-laning of a road from Fountain Chowk to Aggarsain Chowk in Yamunanagar, and construction of a road from Shadipur to Pansara village.
