Conference on cattle breeding

Jammu: The Department of Animal Husbandry, Jammu, organised a one-day conference on the theme, 'Framing a sound breeding policy for cattle', here on Wednesday. It was inaugurated by Dr SK Abrol, director, Animal Husbandry Department, in the presence of Dr RL Handoo, ex-director and first manager of Frozen Semen Bank, Jammu. The conference was organised by the manager of Frozen Semen Bank, Dr Ramesh Razdan, under the banner of the Livestock Development Board. Dr KS Risam of the SKUAST explained the fundamentals of a sound breeding policy to the participants. tns
