State BJP spokesman and Naina Devi MLA Randhir Sharma today said the state government had cheated all sections of society, particularly unemployed youth, who were promised allowance as poll promise by the Congress.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Randhir Sharma said the allegation had recently been levelled by a Cabinet minister in the state government. He said there was no coordination between the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues, proving that the Chief Minister had lost his grip over the government functioning and day-to-day administration of the state’s affairs.

Randhir Sharma said while Virbhadra Singh served as the Chief Minister of the state for six terms, his acts continued to be dictatorial, adding that even before the BJP had submitted the chargesheet document against the government to the Governor, the CM had said that the chargesheet would be put in the dustbin.

The BJP leader said 41 Congress leaders, including the Chief Minister, Cabinet ministers, MLAs and chairmen of Boards and Corporations were listed in the charge-sheet along with specific charges and evidences, but the government’s arrogance in ignoring the charge sheet was undemocratic. He said by not ordering any investigation into the allegations, the Congress government had only admitted the charges.

Randir Sharma said the statements against demonetisation by Congress leaders were their political compulsion. He said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had openly welcomed demonetisation and had issued press statements saying that the move would help unearth black money.

The BJP spokesman said during the first 50 days after currency ban, the Union Government and the Reserve Bank of India had taken a series of corrective steps to ease the common man’s problems. However, he said the criticism by Congress leaders regarding these moves were ironical to their concerns towards the problems of the masses on demonetisation. District BJP president Balbir Bagga was also present.
