DEHRADUN: Dehradun Smashers defeated Chamoli Panthers by four wickets in a match in the Second Uttarakhand Premier League Cricket Tournament played at the Rangers College ground here on Saturday.

Dehradun Smashers defeated Chamoli Panthers by four wickets in a match in the Second Uttarakhand Premier League Cricket Tournament played at the Rangers College ground here on Saturday.

Chamoli Panthers batting first scored 120 runs losing all wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Yashpal Dagar was the top scorer with 44 runs. In reply, Dehradun Smashers scored 124 runs for the loss of six wickets and won the match by four wickets in 20 overs. Himanshu Joshi with 39 runs and Shivam Khurana with 34 runs helped Dehradun Smashers to win the match. Shivam Saini took two wickets for 24 runs for Chamoli Panthers.

In the second match, Tehri Titans defeated Champawat Warriors by seven runs in a closely-fought match. Tehri Titans batting first scored 149 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Rahul Yadav was the top scorer with 45 runs. In reply, Champawat Warriors could score 142 runs with the help of 54 runs by Arun Chaprana and 55 runs by Kartik Joshi and lost the match by seven runs.
