Jind, May 22

The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has disapproved the recommendations of the Prakash Singh Committee constituted by the BJP-led government for the Jat violence probe. State party chief Ashok Arora, who was in Jind today, said, “There is lack of coordination in the state government and it is the reason it has made so many committees for the investigation of the mayhem. It reflects poor governance.”

He said, “The government is taking action against its officials, but it has not taken any action against its ministers or leaders who had allegedly played a vital role in instigating the mob.” Arora said, “The CM is weak, that’s why reason his ministers are out of control and it is affecting the state’s development.” He also blamed the state government for the Nidana well tragedy in which 5 Dalits died on May 16.

Earlier, the state party president also visited Nidana village and met the aggrieved families of the victims. He said some months ago, the state government had said it will close all abandoned wells in the state, but it failed to do so. “CM Khattar is visiting the Jullana constituency on Monday, we want that he visits this village also and meets the families of the victims. He should announce a compensation of Rs 20 lakh and a government job to the next of the kin of the deceased,” said the INLD leader.

Julana MLA Parminder Singh Dhul said it will be very unfortunate if the CM does not spare some time for the distressed families.”
