Exclude us from Sonepat MC: Villagers

Representatives of 26 villages staging a dharna for the past 13 days seeking exclusion of their villages from Sonepat Municipal Corporation have threatened to intensify their protest in case their demand was not fulfilled by April 30.

While addressing the protesters at the dharna site near Aggarsen Chawk on Tuesday, MS Kataria, president of the Sangharsh Samiti, said, “If our demand is not accepted, we will boycott the BJP in the coming elections.”

The protesters also announced support to Congress MLA from Gannaur Kuldeep Sharma, who along with party activists met the protesters at the dharna site and supported their demand. — oc
