Chandigarh, January 12
Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday extended their warm greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Lohri.
In a message issued here, the Governor described the festivals as harbingers of peace, progress, prosperity and universal brotherhood.
Khattar described the festivals as a part of our composite cultural heritage which strengthened communal harmony and cultural fabric. Such festivals should be celebrated with traditional fervour, he added. — TNS
