SHIMLA: A two-day “Job Mela” will be organised at Banuti (near Ghanahatti) in Shimla (Rural) constituency on June 24 and 25 by the Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN).

A two-day “Job Mela” will be organised at Banuti (near Ghanahatti) in Shimla (Rural) constituency on June 24 and 25 by the Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN).

The objective of this job mela is to introduce the youth to career-related courses and job profile as per their qualifications and interest, a state government spokesperson said.

He said the given opportunity would be further availed to mobilise the youth for the forthcoming skill development projects such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojna and flagship programme of HPKVN.

He said the HPKVN would also organise a trainee felicitation programme for the candidates who have completed the training under HPKVN’s pilot training programme and had been provided jobs according to their skills.

He said the targetted beneficiaries for this mela would include students studying in school (for 1-3 level courses) to have skill subjects, the students studying in higher level (for 4-5 level courses), school dropouts and unemployed youth and BPL, SCs, STs, Tribal handicapped youth.
