‘Pakistan on self-destructive path, becoming laughing stock’

JAMMU: Ram Madhav said Pakistan was not going to achieve anything by approaching the United Nations to discuss Kashmir. By this move, Pakistan had caused more harm to itself than to India.

Jammu, August 16

Ram Madhav said Pakistan was not going to achieve anything by approaching the United Nations to discuss Kashmir. By this move, Pakistan had caused more harm to itself than to India.

“Pakistan is becoming a laughing stock all over the world. India will not be harmed by these moves of its neighbour, but these will adversely impact Pakistan itself,” Madhav told reporters here. “In the 40-minute speech on August 14, the Pakistan Prime Minister named Narendra Modi 40 times and Modi ji not even once in his 92-minute Independence Day speech,” he added.

Warning Pakistan, he said the nation was “moving on a self-destructive path”. “Everybody, including residents of Kashmir, are happy with the decision taken by the BJP-led Central Government.”

However, he did not make any statements on Pakistan moving the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) over the Kashmir issue and said, “The official statement on this topic will be given by Indian government and the foreign ministry.” — TNS
