Cong leaders hail party’s victory

PHAGWARA: Former Union Minister of State, Santosh Chaudhary; MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary; PPCC general secretary, Vikramjit Singh; and former Punjab Cabinet Minister, Joginder Singh Maan; hailed the victory of Congress in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, as a mandate for the leadership of party president Rahul Gandhi.

Former Union Minister of State, Santosh Chaudhary; MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary; PPCC general secretary, Vikramjit Singh; and former Punjab Cabinet Minister, Joginder Singh Maan; hailed the victory of Congress in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, as a mandate for the leadership of party president Rahul Gandhi.

They said it marked the beginning of the end of the BJP-led NDA government.

In separate press releases issued today evening, the leaders, said the victory of Congress showed that the party was on an upswing across the country. The results had clearly shown that the people were fed up of the destructive and anti-development policies of the Narendra Modi government and wanted a positive change.

They congratulated the party president, as well as UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi.

They said the results were a sign of the mood of the nation.
