The newlyweds Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary left everyone spellbound at their wedding reception held at The Grandeur, Zirakpur, on Sunday night. If their wedding on October 12 was a lavish affair in Mumbai, the couple decided to host a grand bash in Prince’s hometown for their family and friends.

While Prince looked dapper in an Indo-western style blue-coloured kurta pyjama designer by Rohit Verma, Yuvika stole the show in her Cinderella greyish-silver off-shoulder gown by Eli and Kim that took eight months and 40 men to complete. She accentuated her look with diamond jewellery and a tiara, which completed her princess look. The two looked like a dream as their entry on a chariot adorned with flowers.

Love story

Their love story began during the Bigg Boss Season 9, when Prince proposed Yuvika with a heart-shaped parantha. However, it took almost three years to lead them towards marital bliss. A blushing Yuvika credits Prince for their happily ‘forever’ moment. “If it wasn’t for his persistent efforts to convince me, this wouldn’t have happened. He wooed me and I took my own time to be sure; today I can say I am on cloud nine. I am happy he is the love of my life.”

For our groom, it’s an overwhelming feeling of being in his hometown, celebrating the occasion with his family and friends. “What I feel in Chandigarh, it can’t be matched. I am glad to be sharing this joy with all my loved ones.”

Glitz & glamour

Among their friends from the entertainment industry, in attendance were Karan Kundra with girlfriend Anusha Dandekar, Kishwer Merchant, Himanshu Malhotra, Sakshi Gulati and Punjabi singer Kuwinder Billa. Even cricketer Harbhajan Singh came for a quick visit to congratulate the couple. Some of their friends from Splitsvilla and Bigg Boss also joined them during the reception.

“This is the typical lavish Punjabi wedding that I had read and heard about. I am really excited to be a part of it and moreso about my friends for their new life,” said Himashu.

Kishwer may have come a little late, but she said she couldn’t have missed it for anything in the world. “We are very close and there was no chance I would not be here. Suyyash is in London for a shoot, but Prince and he have been constantly video calling to make sure he is a part of this occasion. Bigg Boss is known for making love stories; ours and this one is a living example.”

The venue looked regal with flowers, candles and chandeliers everywhere. This full-fledged ceremony had many dance performances for the guests.
