Swine flu patient dies

LUDHIANA: A patient suffering from swine flu died today.

Ludhiana, aUGUST 11

A patient suffering from swine flu died today. The 43-year-old patient belonged to Dhuri Line, Ludhiana.

With this, the total number of deaths reported from Ludhiana has gone up to six. Three more patients — a 78-year-old man from Barewal Road, 40-year-old woman from Geeta Nagar, Tajpur Road, and two-month-old boy from Sherpur Kalan, Sanhewal — were confirmed with swine flu.

In addition to this, two more patients have been suspected of swine flu.

The samples have been sent for testing. Meanwhile, two suspected cases of dengue were also reported in the city and their samples have also been sent for testing.
