The Special Investigation Team which is probing the infamous toppers scandal on Wednesday detained six officials of Bihar Intermediate Council.
These officials are alleged to be involved in double registration of 22 students.
After questioning, the SIT would take appropriate action against them.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had directed setting up of an SIT after a news channel broadcast a sting in which Arts topper was seen pronouncing political science as “Prodikal” science, and termed it a subject about cooking.
The SIT is led by Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj.
The SIT has already arrested 22 persons, including Bihar School Examination Board chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and his wife; and kingpin of the scam Bachha Rai.
