Police keep protesters away from his office

BATHINDA: Police officials today shifted anganwari protesters 100 metres away from Finance Minister Manpreet Badal’s office in the city.

Police officials today shifted anganwari protesters 100 metres away from Finance Minister Manpreet Badal’s office in the city.

It is learnt that a police team headed by SHO, Civil Lines police station, Kuldeep Singh Bhullar today asked the union protesters to go back and stage the protest outside the district administrative complex but the protesters remained adamant that they would stage the protest outside the minister’s office only. Later, they were asked to go 100 metres away and stage the protest outside the Chabbra Palace near the Finance Minister’s office.

The union members burnt the effigy of Manpreet Badal at Hanuman Chowk and raised slogans against him.

The protest by anganwari union workers and helpers today entered its 22nd day.
