Gurdaspur, September 12

Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Wednesday said the SIT set up to probe sacrilege cases should work in a time-bound manner. “I agree with AAP leader HS Phoolka that the SIT should be asked to submit its report within a specified time period. If things are allowed to linger on, there is a likelihood that the probe may turn out to be a damp squib,” he said.

Sidhu and his Cabinet colleague Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa visited the city on Wednesday.

Duo prays for Badals’ long life

Sidhu and Randhawa offered prayers at Sant Baba Hazura Singh Gurdwara, Nikke Ghuman, in Gurdaspur on Wednesday. They said they prayed for the “long life” of the Badals. In a sarcastic remark, the ministers said they wished that “the Akalis live long and pay for the sins committed by them”.
