Female Education and Marriage.

IN India the prospects of education among girls are greatly affected by marriage. Young girls are withdrawn from schools before they pass the middle standard and they have to be trained with a view to success in marriage. They have therefore to face a double competition-one to acquire educational qualification which is an intellectuals effort, and the other to obtain social qualities of fitness to be married well. These are the opinions of people who desire to give Indian girls a course of education which will satisfy both the ideals within a reasonable time.
