Chandigarh, June 14

VP Singh Badnore, UT Administrator, inaugurated the second annual voluntary blood donation camp at the Punjab Raj Bhawan here today.

The camp was organised by the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGI, to mark World Blood Donor Day. As many as 39 volunteers donated blood in the camp.

Badnore motivated people to donate blood regularly and thanked all voluntary blood donors of the region for their contribution.

The department also organised a blood donation camp at the Sector 17 Bridge Market, in collaboration with the Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust, Panchkula. — TNS

275 units collected at GMCH-32 

The Department of Transfusion Medicine in collaboration with the Thalassaemic Children Welfare Association, Chandigarh, organised a blood donation camp at the GMCH-32. 

150 donate blood at Fortis 

Mohali: As many as 150 persons donated blood at Fortis Hospital. Dr Apra Kalra, Head, Blood Bank, Fortis Hospital, highlighted various health benefits of voluntary blood donation.   

Donors felicitated

Mohali: Around 12 regular blood donors were felicitated at Ivy Hospital, Mohali. Around 100 units of blood were collected during the blood donation camp. Mamit Sharma, Kranti Sharma, Suresh Dadhwal and Gurmeet Kaur were among the regular blood donors who were felicitated.
