Man commits suicide

Nabha, July 17 

A clerk working at the office of the Commission Agents’ Association reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan on Tuesday afternoon. 

The deceased has been identified as Vinod Kumar (38). He had been working as the clerk at the office for the past several years. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem.

Sham Bihari, father of the deceased, said his son was in a good mood before he left for work on Tuesday.

Members of the association said they came to know about the death of the clerk, but later they were told that he had committed suicide. 

Kotwali police station SHO Sukhraj Singh said a case under Section 174 of the IPC has been registered. —TNS
