From now onwards there would be no need to go to any property consultant or other such persons as interested buyers/sellers/tenants can make transactions related to Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) properties with the click of a mouse or by touching screen of their smart mobile phones.
The department has developed its web portal and a mobile app under the name PUDA 360, which comprises of three modules — e-property, e-auction and e-application. The web portal and the mobile app are going to be launched soon to facilitate the people.
“The pilot project will first cover the properties falling under the jurisdiction of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA). The facility for the properties of other authorities will be provided later,” said the PUDA authorities.
If one goes by the claims of the authorities, all frauds related to properties would come to an end with the start of this service.
“With the help of our portal or app, users will be able to navigate to the properties of their choice and can buy, sell or rent their properties. There will be various search and filter capabilities in the system,” said Ravi Bhagat, chief administrator of GMADA, adding that the facilities would help in checking the entire details of any property falling under the department.
This way, land frauds would come to an end and the interested buyers, sellers and tenants would be able to make their transactions without any suspicion or fear of fraud, said the Chief Administrator.
By using the services, users would also get the entire knowledge about the properties that are being offered by promoters/builders here.
“The entire details of builders/promoters/colonisers will be available on the portal and the app in question and one can know all property details of government and private developers, along with layout plans,” claimed Bhagat.
The service would also make e-auction of PUDA properties available on the mobile app while the e-application would enable allottees to apply for citizen services, including transfer, DPC, NDC and NOC, online.
“This is the first-of-its-kind service in any government sector here,” he claimed.
