Sanjay Bainiwal to be new Chandigarh DGP

CHANDIGARH: Sanjay Bainiwal, a 1989-batch IPS officer, will be the new DGP of Chandigarh, replacing Tejendra Singh Luthra, a Union Home Ministry order said.



Chandigarh, June 14

Sanjay Bainiwal, a 1989-batch IPS officer, will be the new DGP of Chandigarh, replacing Tejendra Singh Luthra, a Union Home Ministry order said.

Luthra was today transferred from the city, an official spokesman said here. He will now join Delhi Police.

Bainiwal is currently posted with Delhi Police as special commissioner.

Luthra, a 1990-batch IPS officer, was posted to Chandigarh over two years back. - PTI
