Zirakpur, November 22

The police today claimed to have booked a scrap dealer and recovered a vehicle with stolen goods from Gupta Builders and Promoters Limited (GBPL) under-construction project here.

The police recovered the vehicle from the spot, but the suspect, Mohan, managed to escape.

Zirakpur SHO Onkar Singh Brar said based on information that a person was stealing goods, we raided the spot and found a vehicle with stolen goods.

On Sunday, the police had registered third FIR against GBPL after complainant Ujjwal Sethi, a resident of Sector 45, Chandigarh, alleged that the construction of the GBP group’s housing project in Ramgarh Bhudha village had come to a standstill.

A case under Sections 420, 406 and 120-B of the IPC was registered against Satish Gupta, Raman Gupta and Pardeep Gupta.
