Infra to be upgraded at ICP: Chief Secy

AMRITSAR: Punjab Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh Brar said the relations between India and Pakistan could be improved only through the promotion of trade.

Punjab Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh Brar said the relations between India and Pakistan could be improved only through the promotion of trade. He said the state government had decided to upgrade infrastructure and facilities at the Integrated Check-Post (ICP), Attari.

The Chief Secretary interacted with industrialists during his visit to the PITEX being organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Ranjit Avenue.

The Chief Secretary said, “The Kartarpur corridor will open a new road for business ties with Pakistan. I hope that PITEX will be a milestone in improving the trade. The Punjab Government has also decided to increase the warehousing facility, along with the expansion, at the ICP. Work has already started for providing the requisite services for the trade.”
