How was your experience working in Ishq Mein with Sunny Kaushal?

It was a great experience. Sunny is a cute co-star. I loved the larger-than-life aspect of a music video.

Many music videos are being made in recent times. Why are actors keen on them?

I feel music and dance is a part of our culture and people can resonate with it very well. The reach of music videos is also quite huge.

Tell us about your love for dance?

I have studied in a convent school in Shimla and Kathak was the only dance form which the school allowed. I have taken up the form again during the pandemic and practise it whenever I get time.

How has your family supported you in your career?

My family has played a huge role in my career. Where I am today is because they have wholeheartedly supported me. Initially, they were a bit sceptical as they were completely unaware of the industry. But when they got to know that my happiness lies in acting, they supported me.

Tell us about your series, Those Pricey Thakur Girls.

The series is based on a very popular novel by Anuja Chauhan. So, there are lots of expectations from the show. I am lucky to be directed by two amazing directors, Habib Faisal and Tarun Mansukhani. They both have given a unique touch to the film.

As an actor what is your takeaway from the pandemic?

OTT has become more prominent. It has churned out the best of content in recent times. Actors are also getting many opportunities. But no one can take the place of the big screen.

What inspires you?

When I give a shot confidently and that comes out nicely, I get a high. I believe that inspires me to act better.

What kind of series have you watched and liked?

I started watching Schitt’s Creek and I loved it. And then I have also loved Kriti Sanon’s Mimi and she has done a fabulous job.

A lot has been said about mental happiness. What is happiness to you?

Happiness to me is what allows me to be myself. I am happy that people are coming out and speaking about it. In a way it has created awareness.
