Gurugram, April 19
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Gurugram Rao Inderjit Singh filed his nomination papers here on Friday. He is seeking a re-election from Gurugram on the back of several endeavours undertaken by him in the past five years.
Later, he addressed a public gathering, claiming that during his tenure, several projects lying pending for decades were completed. He gave the examples of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway and AIIMS in Rewari to prove his point.
“I toiled hard to deliver projects, for which people had been waiting for years. From expansion of Metro to new underpasses for traffic management to the provision of irrigation water in many parts of Mewat, I understood the day-to-day needs of people and worked hard to ensure that they got their due. I seek votes on the basis of my performance,” the BJP leader said.
