Palwal, February 11
Former CM and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today asked the people to become a part of the campaign launched by the Congress party to get rid of the present dispensation in the state as it was responsible for the suffering of the people.
Addressing the Jan Akrosh rally organised at Anaj Mandi in Hodal, he said it was the people who wanted a change as they were fed up of the false promises made and failures of the BJP-JJP rule in addressing the issues of the masses. “If you are ready, we will give you the governance which you aspire, but one must take a pledge to support the drive of the Congress party in removing the government, which has given only problems in the form of crime, corruption, unemployment or repressive policies for various sections. Not a single day passes when there is no murder, robbery or incident of seeking a ransom,” he remarked, claiming that Haryana has become number one in unemployment, inflation and crime.
He said the gap between the poor and the rich had increased sharply in the wake of wrong policies. He said while the income of the farmers had gone down, their problems had increased manifold in view of the rising costs of inputs and the conditions attached to farming and the sale of their produce in the market.
