Special package for J&K traders soon, says Adviser

As part of the public outreach programme initiated by the government, Adviser to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today visited Sopore and met various delegations and individuals who apprised him of their grievances and demands pertaining to development in their respective areas.

An official statement said a delegation of the Sopore Fruit Growers Association demanded the upgrade of basic infrastructure in the Sopore fruit mandi, expansion of fruit mandi and continuation of the market intervention scheme (MIS), besides waiving the KCC loans in the prevailing circumstances.

Another delegation of the Traders/Transporters Association demanded special economic package for compensating the losses incurred due to the lockdown, for which the Adviser said a special package would soon be announced for the trader and transporter communities.
