Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Adviser to Governor, on Thursday listened to public grievances at J&KGovernor’s Grievance Cell at Church Lane, Sonwar, here.
Several public delegations, deputations and organisations met the Adviser and apprised him of their grievances and sought early redressal.
The deputations included delegation of residents of Awantipora, Kreeri Baramulla, Turigam Rafiabad, Kangan civil society, tourism professionals, Auqaf Committee Akingam, ITI trained workers, shopkeepers from old bus stand Batamaloo, and retired agricultural officers.
The Adviser assured that he would examine their demands and ask the departments concerned to redress their genuine concerns, an official spokesman said.
He also took stock of the grievances pertaining to his departments and assured the deputations that the government would ensure outcome-based disposal of the complaints with the nodal officers of the departments under his control.
