A two-day workshop on mobile teaching kitchen was organised at Cordia Group of Institute, Sanghol by NNED Pro Global Centre, a venture of the Cambridge University, United Kingdom.
Amar Singh, Member of Parliament (MP) from Fatehgarh Sahib, was the chief guest. He expressed his happiness over conducting this workshop which to train women and villagers to cook nutritious and healthy food. Diljeet Rana, a member of the House of Lords, and chairman of Cordia Institute, welcomed the Amar Singh; Prof Sumantra Ray, NNED Pro founder chairman; and Urmil Verma, executive trustee of Cordia Group.
Rana said a free learning and training centre was established at Cordia under the United Nations’ sustainable development goals. Prof Ray said effective nutrition education was helpful in raising health standards of people, especially those affected from malnutrition. Verma highlighted the achievements of Cordia Group for their service to community.
More than 25 women received training during the two-day workshop. A research team from Panjab University, Chandigarh, was also present during the workshop.
