Four test Covid positive in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, August 19

Four persons tested positive for Covid, while no death due to the disease was reported in the district today. The recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has reached 97.5 per cent.

Now there are 89 active patients in the district and 83 persons were sent for home isolation today.

A total of 21,77,473 samples have been taken, of which 20,78,388 samples were found negative. Now the total number of patients belonging to Ludhiana is 87,439, while 1,048 patients belong to other districts/states.

The total number of persons who lost their lives to the disease is 2,095 from Ludhiana and 1,048 from other districts.

“Samples of 10,017 suspected patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly,” said Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma.
