Ludhiana, October 4
A study tour of intern students was organised by the Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education (VAHEE), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana.
Interns visited adopted villages of GADVASU in Mehal Kalan block of Barnala district under the ICAR-funded Farmers First Project of the university.
Budding veterinarians interacted with farmers and visited demonstration units of the beneficiaries started under the project. Interns were made aware of various input services, interventions and extension activities implemented by the project team of the university in the operational area.
Beneficiary families interacted with students and showed their keen interest about various courses of the university. Families were encouraged to send their wards to various academic programmes of the university. During visit, students learnt about field-level extension activities. Subsequently in another tour, interns visited to KVK, Barnala. — TNS
